However it can be a little intrusive on the privacy front. In fact, several countries within the EU have made using it illegal. Because of its intrusiveness, you’ll probably have to ask your users for consent if you use it on your website.

That means a pesky cookies consent box will pop up on your customer’s screen when they first arrive and adds a layer of friction to your websites content, but this is avoidable.
